Efficient
Enterprise Management with SmartCenter
Management of VPN-1/FireWall-1 VSX
is completely integrated into Check Point's SmartCenter
and SmartCenter Pro. Administrators can use the Virtual
System Creation Wizard to provision a new VS in a matter
of seconds. Additionally, VSs in an enterprise
environment share a common user and object database with
other Check Point VPN-1 and FireWall-1 enforcement
points on the network. This makes it simple for the
administrator to configure, deploy and maintain a
consistent security policy across the entire enterprise.
Administrators may use One-Click technology to add a VS
to a VPN community. Once added, the VS automatically
inherits the appropriate properties and can immediately
establish secure IPSec sessions with all other VPN
community members.

Using the SmartDashboard,
administrators can combine provisioning and monitoring
VSs with all the other Check Point enforcement points.
Scalable Managed Environments with
Provider-1 Service providers use Provider-1 to
manage hundreds of VPN-1/FireWall-1 VSX VSs. Provider-1
delivers a single console to provision and monitor
security from the data center or POP, dramatically
increasing efficiency. In managed environments, each VS
may be assigned to a separate customer and may be its
own security domain that contains an exclusive security
policy, user and object database, and log files.
Alternatively, if the customer has other managed
enforcement points in addition to a VS, all enforcement
points share the user, object and logging databases
common to that customer. This makes it simple for an
administrator assigned to a customer to maintain a
consistent and always up-to-date security policy across
all enforcement points, thereby strengthening the
security of the managed customer's network.

Integrated VPN-1/FireWall-1 VSX
management into Provider-1 enables administrators to
manage all their managed customer enforcement points
centrally.
